This page contains the information a student needs if he or she will be asking Ms. Brown for a college recommendation.

1.  The student is expected to ask Ms. Brown in person to write his/her letters of recommendation.

2.  The student is expected to provide Ms. Brown with one copy of the common application form with the "TO THE APPLICANT" section completely filled out and the following items completed in the "TO THE TEACHER" section.  (Photocopies of the completed form will be made by Ms. Brown as needed.)

For schools with their own recommendation forms, the same information should be filled in.

3. The student is expected to provide Ms. Brown with an addressed & stamped self-sealing envelope for each school receiving a recommendation.  Each envelope should have the following as the return address:

4. The student is expected to provide Ms. Brown with the application deadline for each school.  This may be done in one of two ways. 1) Each envelope should have a post-it note attached with the deadline or 2) A complete list of schools and deadlines is included.

5. The student should provide Ms. Brown with a copy of their resume, student brag sheet, parent brag sheet, and any other information that may be helpful.

6.  All of the above materials should be placed in a large envelope with the student's name on the outside of the envelope.
